INTERNSHIPS

Develop your producing skills

We offer two internships with Action On The Side: the PRODUCER'S ASSISTANT and the MARKETING ASSISTANT

The Roles​

The Producer’s Assistant Intern will help with promoting and organising our short film projects. During the project, they will work on the film(s) as a credited Production Assistant. They will promote and help organise script development workshops.

​

The Marketing Assistant will promote the AOTS project and workshops through our website and social media channels. During the project, they may take behind-the-scenes photos & videos on-set. They may represent AOTS at events. They will write and send our email newsletters. They will produce online content, including Facebook Live and YouTube videos for our channel.

​

Duration and Hours

Both roles are for a maximum three-month period and only take a few hours a week*.
These are not full-time positions; they are voluntary and unpaid. 

They can be done remotely. (*except for being on set for the film shoot).

They are best suited for students wanting to gain experience for academic credit, although we welcome applications from anyone.

What We Offer

Producer’s Training, Skills Development, Mentorship

​

The Interns will be working closely with the Organiser and Producer for AOTS, an experienced short-form content producer and educator with experience teaching Film at FE- and HE- level. They will gain valuable one-to-one training. This position will suit someone who wants to progress in production. This would also suit a student undertaking an internship for academic credit.

Credits

You will be taking part in our one-month film project in a credited role, that you can use for your CV and showreel.

 

Network

You will grow your network by meeting and working with filmmakers. You can join our alumni group, where projects are shared.

 

Reference

Upon completion of the internship, the Interns will be provided with a reference.

 

What We Need

We are looking for enthusiastic team-players who have a few hours available per week to help grow AOTS. Successful applicants will have strong communication skills, take initiative, and be passionate about independent film. Applicants should be 18+. .
