HMUA

The Hair and Make-Up Artist, or HMUA, in part of the Art Department. They ensure that the actors look their best for the shoot.

Make-up for screen is different to every day make-up. Trained MUAs will know what sort of products to use to appear good on camera. They will apply touch-ups throughout the shoot, and will monitor the actor hair and make-up to make sure it looks good in the monitor.

The HMUA will have a kit, the fee for which we cover. We have had a long-standing relationship with HMUA Francesca Ioppolo, and we have sourced MUA students from the Christine Blundell Make-Up Academy.
